Plateau State Governorship candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Patrick Dakum has described the Governorship election in the state as peaceful.

He expressed confidence that he will emerged victorious at the end of the poll and commended INEC for starting voting as early as 8:30am.

Dakum disclosed this on Saturday after casting his vote at his Adeng polling unit 027 and appealed to Obedients in the state to come out in enmass and vote.

He lamented over the mixed-up of the ballot papers in Bakin-Ladi and misplacement of over 1000 ballot papers for the Governorship election in Quan’anpan Local Government Area.

“You will notice that the queues are not very long for us here because voting started early. The last presidential election, voting started almost two hours behind schedule, so the queues were long.

“In this new polling unit, we have just about 258 registered voters here and the turnout was almost complete. The BVAS are working well and I voted smoothly.” He stated.

Dakum expressed optimism that the outcome of the election will favour him In the Labour Party, saying “I will be sworn-in in the next 24 hours as the Governor of Plateau State.”
