A group, National Democratic Vanguard (NDV), has warned Evangelical Bishops of Nigeria and others to desist from detracting the Enugu State governor-elect, Peter Mbah, over the issue of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.
In a statement by its National Coordinator, John Ayogu Chukwuemeka, after a stakeholders’ meeting, the group called on those it tagged as faceless groups backed by known political detractors to stay away from Mbah.
It said the call has become inevitable going by recent empty threat from one Save Nigeria Group and Network of Evangelical Bishops of Nigeria.
“We call on the Network of Evangelical Bishops of Nigeria to tender an unreserved apology to the governor-elect and his deputy, Ifeanyi Osai, or face disciplinary action from concern authorities.”
The statement equally appealed to Save Nigeria Group to steer clear of the politics of the state and concentrate its focus elsewhere.
The group expressed confidence that the governor-elect and his deputy would be sworn in on May 29.
