The South-South Chiefs Elders Opinion Leaders Association of Nigeria has declared their support for Accord Party governorship candidate Dumo Lulu-Briggs for the 2023 elections in Rivers State.
Omubo Harry, National Chairman of the association, made the declaration at a press conference held at NBA Hall, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to Harry, “having x-rayed all the governorship candidates of the various parties, we are of a strong conviction that with Dumo Lulu-Briggs as governor, Rivers State will be liberated from autocracy and indisciplined leadership with due respect for the people, chiefs and traditional rulers
“Dumo Lulu-Briggs will bring unity, development, equity, justice and good leadership to the people of Rivers State come 2023.
“As the Lord God Almighty lives, good governance shall be installed in Rivers State and our people are therefore called upon to vote men of integrity with vision and leadership qualities.”

Omubo urged members and the people of Rivers State to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and say no to autocracy.
Mrs Alabote Dateme further added: “We want good governance that will give our children good education and jobs because they will take care of us when we are old.
“We want a state where all areas will be developed and not just one particular area.
“We need a good health care system where the sick and vulnerable people will be treated and not die in their houses.
“We are committed and passionate to supporting good governance, shared covenant, and a secure and prosperous Rivers State.
“We are of a very strong conviction that with Dumo Lulu-Briggs as governor, Rivers State will be liberated from autocracy and indisciplined leadership, with due respect for the people, chiefs and traditional rulers.”
