A non governmental health organisation, ThinkLab Group, has donated N30 million for the conduct of research on climate change and support for victims of floods in Borno State.

The amount was symbolically handed-over to the officials of Borno State Government yesterday by the officials of the organisation.

Director of Projects, ThankLab, Dr. Abba Damuna, while presenting the donation, said N10 million was a research grant on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). He explained that N20 million was a support for those affected by the recent flood in Borno.

“The funds will be allocated to immediate relief measures and long-term recovery initiatives, providing essential resources and support to those affected by the flooding,” he disclosed

Gov Babagana Zulum said the contribution would significantly boost the government’s efforts to provide relief and rehabilitate the displaced persons and those badly impacted by the floods.

Represented by the Chairman of the Committee on flood, Baba Bukar Gujbawu, Zulum said the donation would also help as the recovery process for the flood victims gets underway.
