Members of different Islamic groups in Kano State have condemned the recent bombing of innocent Muslims by the military at Tudun biri in Kaduna State
The group, which cuts across the Tijaniyya ,Qadiriya, Shittes and Izala Sects in the state, also rejected the explanation by the Federal Government that the ill fated tragedy was a mistake.
Addressing a press conference, Wednesday, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists( NUJ) in the state, the spokesperson of the group, Abubakar Rabo, sought an open prosecution of those behind the killings as well as an independent investigation into the bombing.
He said ” We call for an independent investigation into the matter, in the same vein, we are worried that the President cannot even visit the place to condole the affected families”
The group urged the Federal Government to quickly pay Islamically recognized life compensation for those they killed, adding that doing so would show that they are serious about protecting human lives.
They insisted that the Federal Government should also tender an open apology to the people of Tudun Biri, accompanied with an assurance that this kind of incident would never happen again.
He added that ” We will continue to offer prayers against those that are hellbent in creating chaos in the North, we will called on all our Jummaat Mosques to start serious against them”. End
