The Nigerian luminaries set to align in Lagos as the 8th edition of the Nigeria Small and Medium Enterprises Summit and Awards (NigeriaSMEAwards), for the first time in its history, will be held at Nigeria’s economic capital. The awards will spotlight some state governors who have played critical roles in boosting the SME sector in their various states. They include Dauda Lawal of Zamfara; Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto; Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi and Uba Sani of Kaduna.

According to Olalekan Adedayo, convener of NigeriaSMEAwards 2025, these governors have all spearheaded transformative initiatives that have greatly benefited local enterprises and their contributions will be celebrated as a beacon of inspiration for the entire nation. He also emphasized that this year’s event, endorsed by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), would break away from tradition, embodying a fresh and unique approach.
