Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the elevation of Abdullahi Rogo to director general, Protocol, Government House and the appointment of Nana Jibrin as director general, Research and Documentation, Government House.
Sanusi Tofa, spokesperson to the governor, in a statement, said the appointments were with immediate effect.
Rogo, former chairman, Rogo Local Government Area and former member of state House of Assembly, was first appointed chief of protocol during the transition period of the governor and subsequently retained in the same position after inauguration on May 29, 2023.
Jibrin served as the deputy director of social media for Governor Abba’s campaign organisation since 2022.
A graduate of political science with masters in the same field, she is a seasoned broadcaster, publisher and a research analyst with 20 years of experience in media and advertising, entrepreneurship and project management.
Jibrin is the founder, Womanhood Africa Initiative, a non-governmental organisation that supports women and girls to improve their livelihood in African region.
