As part of the 2025 Retreat activities, Country Director, GOALPrime Organization Nigeria, Professor Christopher Chinedumuije, hosted Mr. Bernoit Lemoitre, Country Director Solidarités International, and Mrs. R. Goeffert, Regional Director, Solidarités International, at the GOALPrime Northeast Nigeria Regional Office in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The meeting, centered on strategic discussions and technical exchanges, focused on strengthening the partnership between both organizations.
The parley emphasized how collaboration is delivering transformative impact in Northeast Nigeria.
Speaking during the discussions, Professor Chinedumuije highlighted the significant strides being made through joint efforts in the region, saying that “Our partnership with Solidarités International is delivering life-changing results to the beneficiaries in Konduga, Monguno, and Ngala Local Government Areas.”
He added that “The synergy between our organizations has improved program delivery, especially in Child Protection and WASH interventions, while also building GOALPrime’s operational and institutional capacities. We deeply appreciate Solidarités International’s unwavering commitment to this partnership, which is enabling us to impact more lives effectively.”
In his part, Mr. Bernoit reiterated Solidarités International’s dedication to fostering a long-term partnership with GOALPrime. “We are intentional about sustaining our partnership with GOALPrime because we believe that only through robust collaboration can we achieve sustainable results in the communities we serve. Our shared commitment to improving lives in conflict-affected areas remains a guiding principle.”
Regional Director, Solidarités International, Mrs. R. Goeffert, emphasized the importance of localization and coordination in driving success.
She said “Localization is at the heart of Solidarités International’s approach. Strengthening GOALPrime as a local partner ensures more effective coordination and impactful interventions. Together, we are setting an example of how partnerships can deliver sustainable change for the most vulnerable populations.”
The teams also conducted a joint field mission to Konduga LGA, where they conducted the on-site assessments of ongoing Child Protection and WASH programmes. The visit included interactions with beneficiaries, providing invaluable insights into the programmes’ impact and reinforcing the importance of collective efforts in addressing humanitarian needs.
