The Great Independence Hall Alumni Association (GIHAA) has officially launched, setting a new course to unite alumni of Great Independence Hall, University of Ibadan, and foster deeper engagement with the broader community.
The association aims to preserve the proud traditions of Great Independence Hall while creating platforms for alumni to connect, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully to the Hall’s and University’s ongoing development.
Speaking at the inauguration, GIHAA President Omotola Ifafore, highlighted the association’s mission: “Through collective endeavor and mutual commitment, we can achieve a substantial and lasting impact.”
GIHAA’s planned activities include networking events designed to encourage mentorship and professional growth, community outreach projects to promote social responsibility, and educational programs that support scholarships for current students.
In a show of immediate commitment, GIHAA donated a Public Address System to Great Independence Hall’s student body to improve communication during student events and activities.
Ifafore added, “Together, we can cultivate a dynamic and supportive community that truly exemplifies the spirit of Great Independence Hall.”
He encouraged the Alumni and members of the public interested in joining or supporting GIHAA’s initiatives to visit www.gihaa.org
