All is now set for the 9th edition of the Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit/Awards, which will be held on September 5 at Rockview Hotel, Abuja.
The event, which aims to consolidate on the diplomatic relations between Ghana and Nigeria, will bring together, citizens of both countries who are making impact across the globe to share ideas and receive honours for projecting the positive image of the continent.
Comrade Barry Ndu Nwaihim, convener of the global event, confirmed their team’s readiness to host an outstanding event. He noted that the essence of the initiative was to ensure a more cordial social and business relationship between the two countries.
He said, “People who are making impacts should be celebrated while they are still alive. This year’s event would be segmented into three different sessions which includes the Keynote address, panel Discussion and the main Award event where 30 Impactful individuals would be honoured with a Glass frame, Gold medal and certificate of Induction into Hall of Great Achievers.”
Nwaihim also noted that there would be a launch of the Youth Entrepreneurship and skills Acquisition centre aimed at training young people on skills that would make them less dependent on government job.
Gina Appiah, Secretary of the event committee, noted that dignitaries, especially Ghanaians who would be arriving Abuja from Accra or any part of the world, would be received by the protocol team.
She disclosed that among those to be honoured include Dr. Jayne Onwumere, GMD PWAN Group; Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh, Majority Chief Whip, Ghana parliament; Hon. Segun Oluade, Executive Director Customer Centricity and Marketing Galaxy Backbone Ltd; Dr. Griffin Nana Quabena Ikeson, CEO, Griffin Homes, Ghana; Prof. Steve Azaiki, OON, Chairman, Azaiki Foundation; Bro. Felix Obuah DSSRS, Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council; Hon. Awaji-Inombek PhD, Member of House of Representatives, Andoni/ Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency; Hon. Justice Mabel T.
