The Commander Corps of Engineers, Major General, Philip Eromosele has charged troops of 43 Engineer Brigade Jos to discharge their duties professionally and distance themselves from any act contrary to military profession.

In a press statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 3 Division Jos, Ishaku Takwa said the Commander made the call when he paid operational visit to 43 Engineer Brigade in Jos Plateau state.

Gen. Eromosele who addressed the troops said the Chief of Army Staff has provided the needed welfare package for the Nigerian Army (NA) personnel and their families aimed at improving the professional conduct of troops.

He warned that any act short of military ethics capable of tarnishing the reputation of the NA will be met with stringent measure.

Eromosele further noted the significance of training in the NA as key to capacity develop of troops. He revealed that the NA has recently provided lots of opportunities for troops to acquire knowledge and urged all to take advantage of the opportunities to develop themselves.

Welcoming the Corps Commander Engineers to Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos, the Acting Commander 43 Engineer Brigade, Colonel Saidu Iliya noted that the Brigade has accomplished numerous infrastructural development both within and outside the barracks to compliment the effort of the Federal Government in providing basic amenities to the citizens.

He noted the fixing of abandoned two Malmo bridges connecting Wase, Langtang North and South local government areas of Plateau state was a milestone

Colonel Iliya further noted that the engineer troops have successfully accomplished their tasks of ensuring facilities within the cantonments in 3 Division areas of responsibility are maintained.
