The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has invited the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and his officials to join the All Progressives Congress.

Ganduje spoke in Kano, Thursday, at the end of an extended party’s stakeholders meeting held at the Bompai headquarters of the party in the state.

A previous stakeholders meeting of selected state party leaders was held, last week, in Abuja, where it was resolved among other issues, to reconvene a larger meeting in the state.

While extending his invitation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, of the New Nigeria People Party, Ganduje assured that the All Progressives Congress has created an enabling environment for the Governor and his officials to prosper in the APC as a family.

Ganduje, who noted that they had long put the judgement of the Supreme Court behind them also extended similar invitation to the members of smaller political parties as well as the entire opposition parties in the state.

He said that the objective was to create a one party state in Kano State with the All Progressives Congress as the sole political party existng n the state.

According to him, when that happens, it would result into better political opportunities for the people of the state.

The National Chairman noted that Kano State was the biggest democracy in Nigeria and a swing state for the contest ofpresidential election in the country adding that the votes of the state has huge implications for the selection of the president of the country.

He stressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was working tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians and to the state adding that Kano State enjoys a priority position in the eyes of the administration.

He recalled that the President was continuing with the rail project from Lagos to Kano up to Maradi in Niger Republic as well as continung with the gas pipeline project from Ajoeokuta to Kaduna to Kano.

He appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress to continue to support the party and Nigerians to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Earlier speaking, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin explained that they were in the state to intimate their followers on the advisory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go back home and energise the party.

It could be recalled that the meeting was significantly attended by all the critical members of the party in the state.
