Born in the late 1990s and raised in the musically rich neighbourhood of Surulere, Lagos, ZIRO KINGIN found his voice in the corridors of
adolescence as he kicked off his music journey.

He is not just your average rapper as he is a street-bred storyteller with a lyrical instinct and an uncompromising sense of integrity.

Beyond music, ZIRO KINGIN is an also a creative exploring other things aside music. He is currently working on a movie project with a yet-to-be-revealed entertainment company which is a move signaling evolution, not exit.

He further discloses that, “What I can say about this project is that it’s a deep story rooted in the realities of aLagos youth.

I’m not just acting but I’m as well involved in the soundtrack and the creative direction. It’s another way
of telling my story, off the mic.”

He adds that, “The music never left me. I’ve been recording, building, and reflecting. A new project is
coming and it’s raw, reflective, and street-approved. No release date yet, but when it drops, they’ll
know ZIRO KINGIN is back for real.”

On blending Yoruba and English languages in his music he attests that authenticity is doing you and not what the industry wants. He adds, “It’s speaking your truth in your own language. Yoruba is not just my mother tongue, it’s my rhythm, my soul. I don’t chase global but chase connections.”
