Free Kano from thugs, criminals; keep your detention facilities clean, new Police Commissioner charges supervisory officers

Newly posted Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Salman Dogo Garba has charged supervisory police officers in the state to keep the state free from the activities of thugs and other violent crimes.

He also tasked them to keep their offices clean, including their detention facilities where suspects are held before being charged in court.

He gave the marching order during a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Tactical and Operational Commanders.

Saturday Sun gathered that the meeting was part of the broader efforts to strengthen security and safeguard the lives and properties of all residents in the state.

During the meeting, the Commissioner appreciated the officers for their commitment and dedication to crime fighting and ensuring peace despite the daunting security situation in the state.

He further charged them to redouble efforts towards surmounting the scourge of thuggery and other violent criminal activities that hitherto bedevilled the good people of the state.

He urged them to continue with the community policing engagements with their stakeholders as well as warned them to be available to supervise their men on the field.
