The Nima Memorial Foundation has given lifeline to hundreds of Mowe residents as it distributed free clothing, food and other essential items to those in need.
The event, which took place at the Atala community in Mowe, Ogun State, on Sunday, was a testament to the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others. The atmosphere was electric, with recipients expressing gratitude and joy as they received their gifts.
Speaking at the occasion, Zainab Abdumalik-Mohammed, co-founder of the Nima Memorial Foundation, said: “We are thrilled to be able to make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Mowe. Our goal is to spread love, kindness and hope and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.”
The Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing support and resources to vulnerable members of society. Through initiatives such as clothing drives, the foundation aims to inspire positive change and promote a culture of giving.
Also speaking, Toba Ilori, Nima’s programme executive, said: “We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or circumstances. We hope that our efforts will inspire others to join us in making a difference.”
The event was made possible through the generous support of donors and volunteers, who worked tirelessly to collect, sort and distribute the items.
As the Foundation continues to grow and expand its reach, it remains committed to its core values of compassion, empathy and service to others.
