“We call for urgent and concerted efforts from all stakeholders to address these pressing issues, advocating for policies that promote economic growth, social welfare, and national stability.
“We call on the government at all levels to prioritize the safety and well-being of Nigerians, addressing the root causes of insecurity and implementing sustainable economic policies.
“It is imperative that we work together to create a nation where every citizen can thrive and contribute to its prosperity,” he said.
Pela, also, condemned the different factions of the party especially the Lamidi Apapa group, saying that the crisis was not in the interest of the party.
He called for an immediate convening of the party congresses at all levels, in order to address the floods of existing challenges.
He said: “The Forum vehemently condemns all existing factions and detractors within the Labour Party, with specific reference to the Lamidi Apapa faction.
“We express our strong disapproval of the divisive activities of these factions, which only serve to undermine the unity and progress of our party.
“We urge all members to rally behind the leadership of the party and to reject any attempts at division.
“We also reprimand the press for giving undue coverage to the illegal activities of these factions and their members, which can harm the reputation and integrity of the Labour Party.
“The Forum urgently calls for the quick and imminent convening of the party congresses at all levels.
“This is pivotal for the total restructuring and repositioning of the Labour Party geared toward 2027, aligning it with contemporary needs and challenges.
“We emphasise the critical importance of this event in rejuvenating our party and ensuring that it remains a formidable force for positive change in Nigeria.
“It is imperative to emphasise the reconciliatory role that members of this Forum play in their respective states as leaders of the party.
“We are committed to addressing all matters of concern and complaints within the party, with the aim of strengthening its conduct, operations, and integrity.
“The Forum will actively engage with party members, stakeholders, and the public to build consensus and solidarity.
“The Forum stands as a beacon of unity and resolve in the face of challenges, dedicated to the advancement of our party’s mission and vision.”
