Last week, we began the introductory part of this teaching.
We talked about what it means to flourish and said it means “to grow”. It equally means “to develop in a healthy or vigorous way”.
To Flourish is to experience luxuriant growth- this means, “rich and persistent growth”.
We said that one of the synonyms of flourishing is spreading.
We also said that flourishing on every side is;
When every area of your life is experiencing consistent progress.
When every facet of your life is secured from all satanic siege.
Enjoying rest, peace, and advancement on every side!
Today, we will be talking about the significance of the palm tree and next week, we will be talking about that of the Cedars in Lebanon.
Psalm 92:12-14.KJV. 12 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;”.
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PALM TREE?
Palm trees have been around for so many years and are a symbol of victory.
No matter the challenges in your nation, you will remain victorious!
Isaiah 54:17.KJV. 17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
Palm trees are known for their ability to withstand harsh conditions such as storms and high winds. This resilience makes them a symbol of strength, endurance, and ability to stand tall through life’s challenges and harsh environments.
They are resistant to wind and flood because of the leaf structure.
Isaiah 60:1-3.KJV. 1 “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
Hardship is real, but the comfort of the Holy Spirit for the saints is equally real.
In the midst of the burning heat in Egypt, there was a group of people that the heat did not affect.
Genesis 47:27.KJV.27 “And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.”
Psalm 1:1-3.KJV. 1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Palm trees do not have recognition for weather or season. It thrives in the rainy and dry season. The leaves of the palm tree are evergreen.
Palm trees grow very tall, some of them grow as high as 200 feet tall.
Palm trees can live for more than a century because their cells are not replaced with new ones as in the case of other trees.
The Christian has a covenant of blessing, success, and longevity with God.
Look at some of the advantages the palm tree has and here is God saying that you will flourish like the palm tree.
Brothers and sisters there are no meaningless words in the Bible.
If the Lord said it, you can bet that He meant it.
Let this be a source of encouragement to you so that come what may, you can be assured that you are still a VICTOR!!!!
Never have the mentality of a victim, you just can’t be one!
You’re sent to this world as a saviour! The saviour and the ones who need saving cannot be struggling and suffering together.
You need to grow spiritually so you can take your place In God’s scheme of things.
Exodus 23:25-28.NIV. 25 “Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.”
Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt and did not feel the heat.
By the power of The Holy Ghost, you will not feel the heat of the economic challenge of your country in Jesus’ Name!
You will flourish in your business, job, career, and finance!
Brethren, where you are living does not matter. Israel was in Egypt and progressed in the face of famine and hardship.
You will continually flourish on every side in Jesus’ name!
Next week, we will be talking about “The Cedars In Lebanon”.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Kindly say this prayer aloud;
“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Your word says, “…whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).
I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Roman 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”,
I declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God!
I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)!
I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!”
Congratulations!
GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY
