TGI Group, a Nigerian conglomerate, has played a pivotal role in the success of the 2nd African Military Games (AMGA) 2024. Held in Abuja from November 18 to 30, the event brought together military personnel from across the continent to compete in various sporting disciplines.

Team Nigeria, backed by TGI Group’s support, emerged victorious, claiming the top spot on the medal table with an impressive haul of 234 medals. This significant achievement solidified Nigeria’s position as a continental leader in sports and military prowess.

Farouk Gumel, vice chairman of TGI Group, expressed his admiration for the Nigerian Armed Forces, stating, “Their dedication and hard work have made Nigeria proud.” He further emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the military community, highlighting various initiatives aimed at empowering veterans.

Brigadier General Anthony Onibaasa (retd), TGI Group’s Director of Corporate Security, commended the Nigerian military and the government for their efforts in organizing the successful event. He noted that the games fostered unity and cooperation among African nations.
