The Federal Government has expressed sentiments to the Crown Princess of Sweden, Her Royal Highness, Victoria, as she begins official visit to Nigeria.
Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, in a statement, said the ministry was pleased to announce the upcoming official visit of the Princess, scheduled for Monday, April 7 to Wednesday April 9, 2025.
Ebienfa also said the visit underscored the strong and cordial bilateral relations between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as the shared commitment between both countries to foster mutual cooperation in areas of trade, sustainable development, gender equality and cultural exchange.
He further said Nigeria remained committed to deepening its relationship with Sweden and looked forward to a fruitful engagement that would benefit both nations.
Ebienfa stated that the visiting Crown Princess of Sweden would be received by high-ranking Nigerian officials and also engage in a series of high-level discussions aimed at further strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between both nations.
“Victoria will be received in an audience by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar on Monday, April 7, 2025.
“She will also meet with Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, the Governor of Lagos State and the Commission of the Swedish Trade office in Lagos,” Ebienfa said.
