While he reigned, the founder of iReign Christian Ministry, Bishop Oluwafeyiropo (Feyi) Daniels, was somehow known for his “prophetic insights.” In fact, he established a prophetic school known as Kings Academy.

Daniels became a ‘hot’ newsmaker during the run up to the 2023 general election. He dared where the angels feared. He made shocking prophecies about the outcome of the elections and other issues. His exuded so much confidence as he dazzled his listeners with his audacious prophecies.

On February 19, 2023, Daniels literally ran riot on the pulpit. With braggadocio, and without mincing words, he declared that the then presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), would be declared Nigeria’s president-elect but would be arrested by the military on the day of inauguration.

Such development, he insisted, would lead to an interim government to be headed by then Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. He added that if Osinbajo rejected the offer because of his past relationship with Tinubu, another person would replace him.

Daniels told his audience in a widely circulated video: “If you stop me by the road and ask me, who will be the next president of Nigeria after Buhari, the name I will give you is Yemi Osinbajo. I know you are confused but that is my prophecy.

“The next person after Buhari to sit on the throne of President of Nigeria is Osinbajo except the man says no. Mark my word: he will be offered.

“The presidential election will be peaceful; don’t be afraid. There will not be killings, go out and vote. However, because no money to buy votes, he will lose in the polls but already there is a partnership with a man in the system that will cause the votes to be rigged.

“So, suddenly I saw the numbers dropping and I saw INEC announcing BAT as the winner. I even saw what he was wearing. He was announced winner and he did like this (pose); the video will trend.

“Revolution is coming; revolution greater than #Endsars is coming. The doors will be shut, you will not go to work. You will be in your houses.

“He will be winner on falsehood. I saw Peter Obi crying. His eyes were red and proper tears filled them.”

Daniels volunteered that he saw Abubakar Atiku, then presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) looking dejected about the developments.  He said that he told Atiku four years ago that he would never be president of Nigeria, and that there was nothing to bother about. He (Atiku) should just go and keep his money.

Daniels further said: “How will the revolution start? Somehow the information will spill out that the election was rigged. Then the youths will get to the streets. It will not just end in Lagos; it will be in almost every state of Nigeria. The youths will get to the streets and start the protest. This protest will lead to a revolution.

“Peter Obi will go to court. On the day of swearing in, Tinubu will come. I saw white, I saw green. About to be sworn in that day, when everybody who said, ‘Tinubu is the next president’ will be rejoicing. Prophets that don’t see far will start telling you, ‘didn’t I say Tinubu is the next president?’

“And while at the event, it looks like an open ground or stadium. I’m telling you what will happen. While at the event, military men will come and they will arrest Tinubu.

“It’s like I’m playing a video before you. Mark my word: I’m speaking by my office. I’m not speaking by a gift. At that point, an interim government will rule Nigeria. The interim government that will rule Nigeria will not be military; it is not a coup.

“The military will partner with the interim government and they will ask, who should be put on the throne? Buhari will say his time was up, that he wants peace. And he will say, make Osinbajo the president.

“Before the swearing in day, BAT will be taken, I saw Peter Obi arrested and detained by the DSS. He is coming to play the role of a messiah but he must suffer like a messiah.

“The moment that is done (arrest of Peter Obi), the revolution and riot will increase. There will be killings, there will be destruction of properties (sic). As the election gets closer, you will see more PDP governors joining Peter Obi. They may not declare it publicly, they will give him all the support that he needs.

“Obi will win majority votes, followed by BAT and Atiku will come third. However, it will be rigged and BAT will be announced winner.

“I saw United Nations intervening. The interim government will not last long. After a while, the court will declare Obi winner. Then I saw Peter Obi in Aso Rock. I saw him giving speech as president of Nigeria but not on May 29.”

However, against the tide of his prophecy, Tinubu was sworn in as president of Nigeria May 29, 2023 and he remains in that capacity.

Daniels also predicted that the immediate-past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, would be arrested after the election. It turned out to be a lie from the pit of hell.  Wike was made Minister of the Federal Capital Territory by President Tinubu.

He made another prophecy that missed. Daniels also prophesied that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Tivers State in the 2023 election, Siminalayi Fubara, will be defeated. Again, the bishop’s prophecy went over the bar.

Fubara won the election and was challenged up to the Supreme Court by the opposition. Ironically, the Apex court affirmed his victory on January 25, a day before Daniels was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a 23-year-old assistant pastor in his church. He was also accused of touching and sucking the breasts of a 19-year-old girl without her consent. The forceful breast-sucking earned him another three years in jail.

Justice Rahman Oshodi, who delivered the 324-page judgment, said: “Oluwafeyiropo Daniels, I have convicted you of sexually violating two women, who were members of your church.

“The first one, you raped ferociously and caused her so much pain. The second, you sexually assaulted using your dominant character and position as a clergyman.

“These offences are grievous, and rape attracts life imprisonment, while sexual assault is punishable with three years’ imprisonment.

“Due to the seriousness and the ferocity of the attack on the victims, accordingly, I sentence you as follows: on count one, I sentence you to life imprisonment; on count three, I sentence you to three years imprisonment and you shall also serve your term in the maximum security custodial centre where you are currently being held.”

Oshodi said the sentencing should run concurrently even as the name of the convict will be registered in the Lagos State Sex Offender Registry.

Daniels was charged with four revised counts of attempted rape, rape and sexual assault. According to the prosecution, sections 260 (2) and 263 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Law, were broken by the offences.

Bishops Daniel claimed to have seen President Tinubu’s arrest, Osinbajo’s inauguration as President, Peter Obi’s arrest and violent riots across the country. But none of them came to pass. Ironically, what he did not see was his arrest, prosecution and conviction for committing rape and other sexual crimes.
