The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji (FEDEPOLEL), Ondo State has received the approval of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence the admission of students into seven new programmes.
The Deputy Registrar, Division of Information, Protocol and Passages of FEDEPOLEL, Mr. Oluyemi B. Adebiyi, said the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Prof. Idris Mohammed Bugaje granted the approval via a letter dated April 8th, 2025.
According to him, the approval was sequel to the successful conclusion of the recent resource verification by the Board in the polytechnic from 19th to 21st March 2025.
The programmes granted accreditation are ND Estate Management & Valuation, ND Library & information science, ND Mechanical Engineering Technology, HND Business Administration & Management, HND Civil Engineering Technology, HND Biology Microbiology, HND Chemistry/Biochemistry
The Polytechnic received the approval to run two streams in HND Business Administration & Management programme while other programmes received the Board’s nod to run a single stream.
The Rector of FEDEPOLEL, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, commended the Governing Council, management, staff and students of the polytechnic, especially members of the Accreditation Committee for the onerous commitment and efforts that cumulated in the approval to expand the programmes on offer in the institution.
The rector pledged further commitment to seeing that the polytechnic maintains its current slew of programmes while efforts will be redoubled to increase the programmes offered by the institution.
