As battle for space in the third edition of the Family Dream Game Show billed to air for 13 weeks intensifies, 16 families will hope to go home with N5 million, and a fully equipped kitchen worth N10 million.
Bafot Studios, Golden Penny Pasta and Lifemate Nigeria that announced the call for auditions said the show is a family entertainment, premised on the simple fact that any family that manages their family budget effectively will achieve their dreams faster.
Category Marketing Manager, Pasta, Foluke Makinde, said since the show is about family and the Pasta brand is also about family, they intend to ensure families enjoy themselves.
“Cooking is a key element in the family and no family can exist without food, so we are bringing that to the show this year. We are going to see lots of cooking in this edition,” she said.
Speaking on their support for the show, Lifemate Furniture’s Media Manager, Orebayo Ejiemhen, said: “It is part of our corporate social responsibilities to give back to the society and for our love and care for the Nigeria families.
Executive Producer and Creator of the show, Oludare Onasanya, said the show was initiated around the family, which is considered core in every society, adding that since its the family that builds the economy of every nation, if the family succeeds, peace, prosperity and unity will follow.
About the show, Onasanya said: “We are auditioning hundreds of families in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt where 16 families would be selected for the TV game show.
“We believe a family that makes decisions together, where the man does not spend without consulting the woman and children will achieve its dreams faster. This show is a simulation of real life where families manage their budget, and the family with the highest amount in their bank account during the show wins.
“The dream prize in every season changes. It could be a dream car, a dream vacation next season. In this season, N5 million injected into any family will help put a smile on its face. The economy is not the reason for the change of prize.”
Season two winners who were present during the Lagos audition, the Dickson Oyetayo family, said they came to show support and encouragement to participating families that the show is real and prizes too are real.
“At first, I was doubtful but as the show progressed, it became real to me. I never believed I would win a house in my life. I want to encourage other families to put in their best, because the show is real,” Oyetayo said.
The show’s TV host, Badia Olowu, popularly known as ILL RHYMZ, said: “This is not just a TV show to me, it is our way of touching lives directly. Who says you cannot have fun as a family and share that true warm Nigerian feeling with the world. We are amazing people and I am glad we get to put this on display again in Season 3 of the family game show.”
