preparations are in top gear for the Face of Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards Beauty Pageant, a celebration of African excellence and empowered youth leadership taking place at Pistis Hub, Maryland, Lagos on October 20, 2025,

Announcing the launch of the beauty pageant, Mark Idiahi, convener of FAFLCA, described it as a groundbreaking initiative that combines the glamour of a world-class pageant with the transformative power of leadership conference and award ceremony.

According to him, the initiative is spearheaded by Africa Future Leadership Magazine (AFLM), which is the convener of Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards (AFLCA).

“As we mark the significant milestone of our 10th anniversary this year, we believe it is both timely and meaningful to spotlight African fashion heritage. This celebration not only honours our decade-long journey, but also pays tribute to the rich cultural legacy of the continent,” he said.

Idiahi disclosed further that the event is designed to spotlight the crème de la crème of African youth, celebrating not only their physical beauty, but also their intelligence, social impact, cultural pride and visionary leadership.

“This event promises to be a catalyst for positive change, showcasing the continent’s brightest talents and inspiring a new generation of leaders,’ he stated. “The Face of Africa Pageant is more than a beauty contest, it’s a platform that recognises and amplifies the voices of young African leaders who are shaping the future of our continent. It’s about redefining beauty as a combination of grace, intellect, purpose and service.”

Amazing prizes await the winner and runners-up of the pageant. The ultimate winner goes home with a car, ₦2.5 million cash prize, modelling contracts, international portfolio shoots, endorsement deals, and a feature in AFLCA magazine.
