…Calls for economic reforms amidst hardship
Miffed by worsening economic hardship among Nigeria masses, the Eze Ndigbo Ifako Ijaiye Lagos State, Eze Michael Ezekwobi(Oyiomanatumba Ndigbo Gbaagburugburu) has called on the state and Federal government to come out with a national plan that would mitigate the hardship and return Nigeria to the part of glory.
In a statement, the Eze lamented that unemployment and high cost of living has pushed Nigerians to the wall as most households could hardly afford basic things of life.
While also calling on Nigerans to embrace agriculture, Ezekwobi said, giving fertile and arable lands across the country, Nigeria should be food self-sufficient.
“I am appealing to federal, state, and local government to come out with a palliative measure to assist vulnerable Nigerians in rural areas.
“With Yultide around the corner, such arrangements will enable Nigerians to enjoy Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” he said.
