The Eze Ndigbo Ghana and the Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu has congratulated the new executive officers of Amaigbo Unity Forum (AUF) charging them to take the association to a greater heights.
In an election held on the 30th of December last Year, the following officials were inaugurated to pilot the affairs of AUF. They includes: Engr. Ken Nwagbara – Governor, Dr. King Nwoha – Ist Deputy Governor, Chief Henry Nwozuzu – 2nd Deputy Governor.
Others are: Barr. Uche Olewunne – Secretary General, Mr. Chigozie Aguguo – Treasurer, Barr. Ezekanachi Onwuka Nnadozie – Financial Secretary, Pharm. Ken Onuegbu PRO
and Mr Frank Osuji – Welfare Officer.
In his good will message, HRM Dr Ihenetu commended Engr Cletus Egbuzie for successfully handing over after 6 years of remarkable and memorable tenure even as he also congratulates the new team led by.Engr Ken Nwagbara.
On why Engr Nwagbara deserves to lead the AUF, the Umuduruoha Amaigbo Nwagele Imo-State born Royal Father said Engr Nwagbara has touched lives by giving back to the society;
According to citation read before he assumed the mantle of leadership of the AUF, Engr. Nwagbara has been training Amaigbo sons and daughters through secondary schools and university level, building houses for people, empowering male and female, young and old to start up businesses, defrayed many hospital bills.
“He has consistently paid salaries of non-government teachers at the State Primary School for many years, donated substantial amount of money to renovate, procure and maintain equipment at the same school. Currently, he is constructing a culvert to access the school. Charity begins at home but should not end there. Engr Ken extended his scholarship schemes beyond the shores of Amaigbo and Imo State.
“For many years, he maintained the access road to Oberedu river and awarded contracts to fix run-off water and drainages in order to sustain the road. He renovated the dilapidated Post office in Amaju to serve as security office for Amaju vigilante who are under his monthly payroll. He is better be described by his altruistic concern for human welfare and advancement.
“His involvement in Amaigbo developmental projects has been loud; ranging from donating pick-up van to Amaigbo Security Watch to donating large sums of money for their monthly salary, construction of the new Obi Igbo Complex etc. A strong member of the prestigious Amaigbo Unity Forum and member of Eze-In-Council, his contributions towards the growth of Amaigbo are numerous.
Engr Nwagbara is the celebrated patron of Concerned Amaigbo Sons & Daughters (CASD); a Non-Governmetal Organization with sole aim of giving back to the society.
