Former deputy governor of Imo State, Douglas Acholonu, has been reported dead.
Although it was yet to be confirmed by the family members at the time of this report, a source told Daily Sun that the erstwhile deputy governor under the administration of late Evans Enwerem has been ill for a while.
Even as an official statement was being awaited by his family and the Imo State government on his purported demise, a dependable source revealed that the medical doctor turned politician may have died yesterday at a hospital in Mgbirichi, near Owerri, the Imo State capital.
