The trial of suspected billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, stalled today Friday, March 29, 2019, at Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, because he did not have a lawyer to defend him in the criminal charges preferred against him by the state.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo therefore told Evans, whose case had suffered three adjournments that he had only three options which were either to defend himself, get a new counsel or the court would appoint a legal aid for him.
Meanwhile, Mr Olanrewaju Ajanaku who is the third lawyer to handle Evan’s brief has not been appearing in court.
