Euro 2024: Kane, Bellingham have fire in them – Ian Wright

By John Ogunsemore

Former England striker, Ian Wright has singled out Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham for praise following the Three Lions’ extra-time victory against Slovakia at Euro 2024 on Sunday.

Ivan Schranz put Slovakia ahead in the 35th minute at Veltins-Arena and Bellingham equalised for England in added time after Phil Foden’s 50th-minute effort was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

England captain Harry Kane scored in the first minute of extra time to help Gareth Southgate’s team snatch a place in the quarterfinals.

Wright, who was capped 33 times by the Three Lions, praised the Real Madrid and Bayern Munich stars.

“Jude Bellingham has got that key moment in him. That big moment in a game.

“Harry Kane and Bellingham showed we have two players who have got that fire in them,” the 60-year-old told ITV.
