To reposition the Estate Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (ERCAAN) for greater national relevance, the national executive council, led by its President, Godwin Alenkhe, has announced the formation of several strategic committees.
The announcement was made during the association’s June monthly meeting, which was attended by delegates from various states across the country.
Alenkhe, who reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the administrative framework of ERCAAN, said the committees were created to oversee different arms of the association and to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of its affairs nationwide.
“Credible and reliable members of the association were carefully selected to head them with terms of reference and a performance measurement guide,” he stated, noting that the appointments were not made lightly. He further appealed to those selected to rise to the occasion and not take the opportunity for granted.
The newly formed committees span critical areas such as electoral matters, publicity, merit awards, expansion drive, education and human capital development, taskforce operations, conference planning for the 2025 Annual General Meeting, constitution harmonization, membership recertification, advisory roles, national secretariat operations, and national insurance and welfare.
Among those appointed to lead the various committees are Mr. Adeshina Ibrahim, who will head the Electoral Board; Mr. Taiwo Fagbemi, who takes charge of the Taskforce; Mallam Yusuf, who is responsible for Constitution Harmonization; Mr. Godwin Demech, who oversees Conference 2025; Mr. Adegbaju Hezekiah Adeyemi, assigned to Publicity; Mr. Segun Ibirogba, tasked with Membership Recertification; and Mr. Israel Olugbade, who will lead the Welfare and Insurance committee. In addition to these, two ad hoc committees were constituted to handle the planning of the 2025 AGM and the national calendar. These will be chaired by Mr. Thomas Ojo Friday and Mrs. Joyce Chinonye respectively.
