From Jude Chinedu, Enugu
Governors of the five Southeast states and other regional leaders are currently in a closed-door meeting in Enugu State.
The governors and leaders gathered at the Enugu State Government House on Tuesday.
Present at the meeting are the governors of Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Anambra, and the host governor, Peter Mbah.
Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, had a brief meeting with the governors before departing at precisely 2:04 p.m.

The meeting between the Southeast governors and leaders began shortly after Obasanjo’s departure.
The reason for Obasanjo’s brief visit, as well as the ongoing meeting, remains undisclosed at the time of this report.
However, speculation is rife that the meeting may be related to the escalating insecurity in the Southeast and the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
