Director, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Zonal Office, Lagos (HA), Mr. Shittu Billiaminu, has called on tertiary institutions in the state to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and credibility during their admission processes.
Shittu made the call while receiving the Rector, Timeon Kairos Polytechnic, Lagos, Rev. Dr. Titus Kolawole Oyeyemi, who was at the state office to officially announce the full accreditation of almost all the key programmes of the institution by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
According to him, the accredited programmes included Mass Communication, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, and Public Administration.
Oyeyemi also used the occasion to emphasize the institution’s readiness to adhere to all extant admission guidelines issued by the board while providing quality education to students.
He commended the board for its pivotal role in ensuring a standardized and merit-based admission process across Nigerian institutions stressing that his institution remains dedicated to fairness and transparency.
In his remarks, Mr. Billiaminu congratulated the rector and the management of the polytechnic on the series of significant milestones recorded by the institution since its debut.

In a related development, Chief External Examiner (CEE) of Ogun State, Dr. Rafiu Soyele, has reiterated the importance of CBT centre accreditation in test administration, particularly with regard to electronic testing.
Dr. Soyele made these remarks at a roundtable marking the commencement of the 2025-accreditation exercise with the state team at the JAMB Ogun State Office.
While addressing the team on the subject matter, the state CEE stressed that the national assignment was a crucial exercise that must be carried out conscientiously.
The team, which was divided into two groups, inspected a total of 54 centres in the state.
Earlier, the State Technical Officer, Mr. Akinwale Afolabi, had highlighted the parameters by which the centres would be assessed during the exercise.
At the end of the exercise, the team converged on the JAMB Ogun State office, Abeokuta, to harmonise their reports.
In his remarks, the CEE, who was represented by Dr. Oyewole, expressed appreciation to all the team members for their commitment to the exercise and urged them to make useful recommendations capable of generating appropriate remedialactions.
