In his characteristic style, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has again demonstrated his deep commitment to development and progress through bold and decisive actions. “We are releasing ₦50 billion to contractors to ensure they don’t go on Christmas vacation. Only contractors who sign undertakings to stay back and complete their projects will be paid,” he stated during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aviation Village” the governor declared.

This policy not only ensures continuity in project implementation but also demonstrates the governor’s accountability in using public funds effectively. By tying payment to performance, the administration sends a strong message about its commitment to efficiency and results.

At the heart of Governor Eno’s development agenda is the Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport. This innovative project is designed to position Akwa Ibom as Nigeria’s aviation hub, enhancing the airport’s capacity and creating new vista of economic opportunities for the state.

Meyen Etukudo from duty,  and set up a panel to investigate the company’s operations, with the hope of correcting the anomalies of the past, and set the state corporation on a path of sustainable growth.
