The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera,who is also Amirul Hajj for Kebbi State, has attributed the success of the 2025 Hajj exercise to the support of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris.
Mera while speaking in Mina after the symbolic stoning of the devil, commended Gov. Idris for endorsing the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s plans and preparations, ensuring a smooth execution of the Hajj.
The Emir also praised Kebbi State’s pilgrims for their discipline and devotion, expressing gratitude for their prayers for the Governor, state, and country.
“Alhamdulillah, the pilgrims have conducted themselves admirably in the Holy Land. We received no complaints regarding accommodation or feeding; instead, all we heard were words of gratitude. No pilgrim expressed dissatisfaction toward the leadership , everyone was full of praise,” he said.
The Amirul Hajj also extended appreciation to the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board, under the leadership of Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro, for introducing well-organized and efficient procedures both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
“We are grateful to everyone. The necessary tools and support were provided, and work was done effectively. May Allah reward all those involved,” he added.
The Emir also felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah) celebration.
Also speaking to Reporters, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Architect Muhammad Sani Aliyu, affirmed that all are witnesses to Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to improving the welfare of pilgrims both at home and in the Holy Land.
“The Governor has declared that as long as he remains in office, he will continue to support pilgrims in all possible ways,” the Commissioner said.
He outlined various forms of assistance provided by the Governor, including the payment for Hadya (sacrificial animals) and welfare support for less privileged pilgrims.
In his own remarks, the Chairman of Arewa Local Government Area, Sani Aliyu Tela, joined in commending Governor Nasir Idris, the Amirul Hajj, the Pilgrims Welfare Board Chairman Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro, and all stakeholders for ensuring the successful outcome of the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Mera’s sentiments highlighted the Governor’s crucial role in facilitating a successful Hajj experience for Kebbi State pilgrims.
