The National Youth Council of Nigeria (Ekiti State Chapter) has named her secretariat after the a foremost Nigerian Youth & Student leader, the late Ibunkun Oluwole popularly called Olembe who hails from Ijero Ekiti, Ekiti State Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen in Ado Ekiti after her 2nd harmonized executive meeting, the council recognizes the struggles for the emacipation of Nigerian youths led by Comr. Ibikunle Oluwole (Olembe) and other major stakeholders that joined him in the struggle for our freedom.

In a joint address by the State Chairman of the Council Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun & the State Public Relations Office Comr. Banjo Adeniyi, the duo said the reason for the action is to continue to remember their leader and grant him his due respect, not forgetting how he laid down his life during the struggles for youth emancipation in Nigeria.
