As the Muslim Ummah marks the sacred occasion of Eid el-Kabir, Dr. Najibullah Umar Tafida Argungu (PhD), Santurakin Augie and a leading House of Representatives candidate from Kebbi State, has called on Nigerians to draw inspiration from the spiritual significance of the festival to foster a stronger, united nation.
In his Sallah message, Dr. Tafida extended warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and the global community, encouraging them to use the season as a time of sincere worship, reflection, and compassion.
“Eid el-Kabir is a celebration rooted in faith, sacrifice, and obedience,” Dr. Tafida stated. “It reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to submit to divine will—a lesson in devotion and humility that remains relevant in our personal and national lives.”
Dr. Tafida, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sandpine Consultant Ltd—an organization committed to human resource development and strategic capacity building—emphasized that spiritual values should not end at worship but must inspire real change in society.
“Let this be a time when we recommit to the ideals of service, sacrifice, and solidarity,” he said. “We must remember the less privileged, support community welfare, and promote peaceful coexistence among our diverse populations.”
He urged the youth in particular to remain hopeful and focused, noting that their energy and creativity are vital to Nigeria’s future. He also stressed the importance of tolerance, inclusive governance, and moral leadership in advancing national development.
“Leadership must be people-driven,” Dr. Tafida remarked. “As someone seeking to represent Kebbi State, I am fully committed to a vision of growth that empowers youth, protects the vulnerable, and builds lasting institutions that serve everyone.”
He praised the efforts of religious and traditional leaders in promoting unity, calling for continued collaboration among stakeholders to safeguard Nigeria’s peace and progress.
As the message came to a close, Dr. Tafida offered heartfelt prayers for the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
“May Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices, bless our homes with peace, and continue to guide our steps toward prosperity and harmony. Eid Mubarak to all our brothers and sisters.”
