It was a moment of joy and happiness at Rotary International Club of Ikate, District 9110 as Rotarian Ugogbuzuo Ugochukwu Egesionu of 2022/2023 Imagine Rotary of 36th president of the club successfully handed over to Rotn. Rosemary Ekene Admin – Okoh, The Hope president of the Club, 2023/2024.
Ugochukwu enumerated the achievements of the club in his tenure, they include;
Tree planting at the Special Girls Correctional Center Idiaraba, Payment for one year supply of cooking gas to the special girls correctional center Idi Araba, Family health week at the Makoko community at Ebutte Meta, Donation of school bags to Ajigbeda Senior Girls Secondary School, Rotary day of service walk for peaceful elections,
Donation of borehole to Adegoke primary school surulere, Charter of the interact club of new era girls,
Donation of dictionary project to Adisa Bashua primary school surulere, Inter school quiz competition in partnership with 8 other rotary clubs in the district.
New member was inducted, Ritn. Chioma Lawal and some Merited members were decorated with Paul Harris Pins.
The president also gave Awards to some of their members in recognition of their immense contributions and selfless services in his tenure including some members of their interact clubs, their principals and co- ordinating teachers.
The event was attended by members of the club, guests, some teachers and students of their Interact clubs Ajibade Girls High School and New ERA Girls High school, Lagos.
