- Submits nomination form
From Godwin Tsa, Abuja
Ahead of the Edo State 2024 Governorship Election, the member representing Etsako Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Dekeri Sunday Anamero, has charged the people to beware of ill-prepared aspirants.
Dekere, who is seeking the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination, has submitted his nomination and expression of interest form at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
The lawmaker described the steps as “critical importance in ensuring the selection of a candidate who garners widespread acceptance across all three senatorial districts in Edo State.”
He sues for unity among party members as it would enhance deep commitment to fostering cohesion, and solidarity as they venture into the election arena.
Besides, he reiterated his confidence in his ability to secure victory for his party and is poised to engage with constituents across the state following his primaries.
Meanwhile, his supporters were optimistic that the submission of his nomination form signals his unwavering determination to lead Edo back into the APC if nominated.
According to scores of them, Dekere has a clear vision for the state’s future and a steadfast commitment to service.
Earlier in his campaign, the lawmaker said he would not hire social media influencers or bloggers to build Edo schools on social media platforms and fix roads on Facebook to cover up failures.
The APC chieftain had equally cautioned against politics of turn-by-turn, saying turn-by-turn politics would be dangerous for a collective polity, economy, and the survival of the state.
He said reducing Edo State to “mere turn-by-turn politics and showcasing projects on social media or Facebook is another ploy to hoodwink people, home and abroad, to believe all is well in the state.”
