Founder/CEO of Christ-inspired Kingdom Film Festival, Ewoma Luther-Abegunde, has revealed that this year’s edition of the festival will hold in partnership with EbonyLife Cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the movie distributor cum marketer, the Kingdom Film Festival 2023 is coming after the hugely successful maiden edition held last year.

Speaking shortly after a business meeting with the management of EbonyLife Cinema, Luther-Abegunde explained that Kingdom Film Festival is aimed at celebrating and empowering Christian filmmakers all over the world, whilst building an ecosystem that will influence the larger society through storytelling and films. 

“The aim of Kingdom Film Festival is to celebrate and empower Christian filmmakers all over the world. I am happy to announce that the beautiful and prestigious EbonyLife Cinema will play host to Kingdom Film Festival scheduled to take place in the last quarter of 2023.

This year, we plan to surpass the success of the last edition, as our aim is to take the festival a notch higher,” she quipped.

In his remarks, Mr. Michael Williams, General Manager, EbonyLife Place, said, “Faith-based film festival is a niche business that’s yet to be fully explored in the Nigerian cinema. Therefore, at EbonyLife Cinema, we are delighted to partner with Kingdom Film Festival as host of this year’s event.” 

In recent times, Kingdom Film Festival has curated cinematic experience for movies such as ‘Enoch’ and ‘The Weight’. To this end, Luther-Abegunde, the organiser, looks forward to having more faith-based movies exhibited at the cinema.
