Socio critic and former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav (rtd.) has appealed to President Mohammadu Buhari not to clear away the top hierarchy of the police along with the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Solomon Arase who is billed to retire soon.

Tsav who made the call in a telephone chat with Daily Sun enjoined the President to appoint next IGP amongst the serving competent and straightforward DIGs instead of retiring them as had happened in previous instances when IGPs retire with members of their management team.

While noting that the outgoing IGP had performed excellently well, The Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, however, posited that experienced and trained officers be appointed to take his place from among the DIGs for the purpose of continuity and preservation of trained and experienced manpower
