Top Nollywood actors Destiny Etiko, Femi Adebayo, Nosa Rex and Emmanuel Abisi aka Nastyblaq, have been named brand ambassadors for Kubanah Whisky, a premium brand of MP Master Piece Ltd.
The ambassadors were unveiled amidst glamour and panache during the formal launch of Kubanah Whisky on July 26, 2022 at The Nest Hub, Yaba, Lagos.
Welcoming the ambassadors and other guests to the Kubanah Whisky unveiling event, Managing Director/CEO, MP Master Piece Ltd., Mr. Emeka Ike, said he’s propelled to go into the production of his maiden brand, Skirt Brandy and Kubanah Whisky in spite of the economic and environmental challenges entrepreneurs face in Nigeria.
He explained further: “I was moved by passion and a burden to make a difference with our products in the Nigerian market. Again, I want the world to know that Nigeria has all it takes to produce quality wine and spirit beverages.
“More so, I have a burning desire to create jobs in my country, especially for the youths, who are roaming the streets without any plan to make headway, knowing that the only way we can curb insecurity in Nigeria is by productively engaging our youths so that they can earn money to spend and plan their lives.”
According to Ike, after the launch of Skirt brandy, which gained acceptance in the country, Nigerians were happy seeing a local brand with international standard. Therefore, his company, Master P decided to do more by producing another fine brand, which is Kubanah Whisky.
“Our brands, which are purely made with local contents, are competing favourably in the Nigerian market. We are confident, focused doing our best because we have what it takes to make this country great and regain its lost glory.
“We need to develop our country and the best option is by building and developing local industries. If we do this, jobs will be created, kidnapping, banditry, obtaining by tricks known as yahoo, yahoo, and all sorts of crime will reduce, and then Nigerian businesses will begin to attract foreign investors and the economy will bounce back,” he stated.
Lamenting the state of Nigerian industries, the boss of Master P said there is need for entrepreneurs to wake up to their responsibilities, as things should not be left in the hands of government alone.
Speaking shortly after the unveiling of the drink, Destiny Etiko, who had earlier joined other ambassadors in signing the contract, told The Sun that it’s an honour to be made a brand ambassador of Kubanah Whisky.
She stated: “Kubanah Whisky is made in Nigeria and it’s of good quality. Honestly, I am happy to be a part of this brand, and I’m going to push it in a biggest way to make sure Nigerians patronise it.”
