Ogar Osim, the Cross River State Chairman of the Labour Party says the state executive is intact and remains committed to a better Nigeria.
He emphasized that the party will not toe the path of dishonour or monetary form of politics which is destroying Nigeria.
He disclosed this in a statement in Calabar while reacting to recent defections from the party in the state to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
He also dismissed claims on social.media that the entire 18 chapter chairmen and state executive committee members defected to the APC.
He said, “no member of the 18 Chapter Chairmen, and State Executive Members of Labour Party defected in Cross River State.
“The State Chairman of Labour Party in Cross Rivers State Ogar Osim and all members of his executive from the chapter and state level are very committed for a better Nigeria.
“We will not toe the path of dishonour or monetary form of politics which is almost becoming a tradition for opposition members in Nigeria”, he said.
He emphasized that it is their firm believe that, the ruling Party APC has destroyed the economy, inflicted pains and poverty on the generality of the Nigerian populace, and are not an option for the Labour Party.
