Nigerian music executive, Suni Osorun popularly known as Big Suni, has re-launched and rebranded his record label cum promotion company, Black Wall Street, with the signing of teenage sensation, Princess Chidera Chukwudi aka Dera BWS.

Born on February 14, 2007 in Aba, Abia State but hails from Imo State, Dera BWS has been singing since she was 8-years-old. A prodigiously talented singer, Dera BWS was discovered in Abuja when she caught the eagle eye of Big Suni, who immediately offered her a contract under his Black Wall Street label.

Dera attended Police Children Nursery and Primary School, Abuja from where she proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Abaji, and then Federal Government Girls College, Umuahia. She later graduated with flying colours at Government Girls Secondary School, Dutse, Abuja, in 2022.

Currenlty a fresh student at one of the universities in Abuja, Dera BWS started exhibiting love for music at a very tender age, but took it professionally immediately after her secondary education.

Blessed with a unique flare for blending and composing Afrobeats songs, Dera BWS draws her inspiration from her environment and life experiences. This much is reflected in her soon-to-be-released debut single, Energy, which has been described as a song of affirmation.

Speaking on why he signed the teenager, Big Suni said: “Just like dynamite that comes in little package, Dera is young but she’s a complete artiste. Her voice and type of music can be described as timeless. The world can’t wait to hear from her.”
