Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has donated 20, 000 to be distributed among the poorest of the poor in all the 17 local government areas of Plateau State.

The consignment was delivered to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the old Government House, Rayfield Jos by the Area Manager, Dangote Group, Bashir Adamu.

Receiving the consignment on behalf of the chairmen of the local government areas, Mutfwang, said that the gesture from Alhaji Aliko Dangote, which he greatly appreciated will bring much-needed relief to our most vulnerable citizens.

The governor praised Dangote’s efforts in other areas of human endeavour, including oil and gas, saying that the philanthropist has continued to put smiles on the faces of numerous vulnerable Nigerians through through his interventionist projects.

Like Oliver Twist, Mutfwang, said that the state will be expecting more of this gestures to cushion the effect of the economic downturn on the poorest of the poor in the country.

Earlier, the General Manager of your Plateau State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Sunday Abdul, said that this philanthropic move was undoubtedly inspired by the unwavering commitment Mutfwang.

He says, “Mutfwang’s proactive and heartfelt response to the needs of the people of Plateau State, under the banner of ‘The Time Is Now,’ has clearly resonated far and wide, motivating such impactful support. Your Excellency, your dedication to your people is truly commendable and serves as a beacon of hope.

He expressed confidence that this distribution would significantly alleviate the hardships faced by the most vulnerable citizens.

“We look forward to continued efforts and collaborations that will further uplift the lives of the people of Plateau State. As an organization, in our culture of fairness and equity, while doing our best, will bring much-needed relief to our most vulnerable citizens assuring both the donor and the Executive Governor of Plateau State that the received items would reach its target population.”
