Amid a backdrop of political tension and widespread strikes, the Dambe Warriors League delivered a thrilling conclusion to Season Three on a sunny day in Lagos, the entertainment capital of the world.

The season finale saw a vibrant crowd of around 5,000 fans, including influencers, media executives, government officials, and enthusiasts, gather to witness the spectacle. For those unable to attend in person, the event was broadcast live on AIT, Facebook Live, and YouTube.

The main event in the Lightweight division did not disappoint, with Yar Mage defeating Chindo in a close match, scoring 87-84. Other notable fights included newcomer Nasarawa’s victory over Kuema with an 88-85 score, and the results set the stage for SuperFight 03 in Abuja, where Yar Mage will face Nassarawa who have been relegated from the league.

In the Middleweight division, Shaaban edged out Zazu with a score of 114-112, while Messi and Dan Nigeria both secured TKO victories over Ramadan and Yasanda, respectively. The upcoming SuperFight championship match will feature Shabban against Messi.

However, due to their poor performances, Dan Nigeria and Yansanda have been relegated from the league.

The Heavyweight division’s final fights were the highlight of the evening. Yansanda defeated Tarasa with an impressive 89-81 score, Dogo Maitakwasara narrowly overcame Dutse with 86-84, and Ali Bello clinched a victory over Dan Yellow with 87-86. SuperFight 03 in Abuja will see a much-anticipated bout between Ali Kanin Bello and Yansanda, while Dutse and Dan Yellow have been relegated.

The event at Alabarago in Ojo, Lagos showcased significant improvements in production, fan experience, and safety protocols, appreciated by both the live audience and viewers at home.

Anticipation now shifts to mid-September, when the final contenders will compete at the Velodrome in Abuja for glory, fame, and the largest cash prize in Dambe history.
