The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command (KLTC), Lagos, has announced a revenue generation of N38,022,972,592 for the first quarter of 2025, a 61 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The data was disclosed by Comptroller EJ Edelduok during a media briefing in Lagos on Monday, where she credited the achievement to the enhanced revenue collection strategies and efforts of the  officers in combating smuggling.

She said in addition to the revenue generated, the KLTC intercepted nine 40-foot containers full of expired drugs worth millions. The seizure, made under the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023, was handed over to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for further investigation and disposal.  Comptroller Edelduok said that the confiscation shows the commitment and vigilance of the command in safeguarding public health and dismantling the illegal trade cartel.
