The Light Up Lagos, a grand celebration to honour the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye on his 83rd birthday, will hold today at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.

Johnson Funsho Odesola, Pastor-In-Charge of RCCG Continent 3 and Middle East, made this known at a press conference held at Banquet Hall, TBS, Lagos, on Friday.  

According to Johnson, “This landmark event aims to uplift lives, inspire faith, and foster community development. This is more than just a birthday tribute. This citywide initiative seeks to ignite social and spiritual transformation through a series of impactful programmes designed to uplift lives and advance the Kingdom of God.”

He disclosed that the event will address pressing societal issues through various outreach programmes such as: The Anti-Drug Abuse and Anti-Cultism Initiative will educate young people on the dangers of substance abuse, while Secondary School Intervention Programmes will equip students with leadership and career guidance. 

He said, the outreach efforts would extend to correctional centres, offering legal aid and paying fines to help decongest prisons. 

“Additionally, the programme will empower over 350,000 youths with digital skills and support small businesses with SME development initiatives. 

“ Free medical outreach will provide healthcare to over 5,000 Lagosians. There will also be a day of spiritual revival in three sessions. The grand finale, the Lagos Light Up Crusade, begins at 4:00pm, promising a night of miracles, healing, and divine encounters.”
