Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has announced the appointment of over 206 people to various positions in the state.

This was contained in a release signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill.

The appointees include a new Deputy Chief of Staff, Boniface Okache, 15 Special Advisers, 21 Senior Special Advisers, and 19 Special Assistants.

The governor also appointed two coordinators and constituted the boards of at least 21 agencies in the state, alongside the governing councils of the state schools of Nursing Sciences in Calabar and Obudu.

Some of the heads of agencies appointed by the governor include Dr Godwin Iyila (Health Insurance Agency), Dr Esu Esu (SUBEB), Ngim Okpo (DG/CEO Border Communities Development Commission), and Goddy Nyiam (Water Board).

Others include Effa Effiong (Commercial Transportation Regulatory Agency), Chief Bassey Okon (Cross River State Privatisation Council), and Professor Paul Itari (Chairman, Cross River State Scholarship Board).
