The wife of Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) does not give consideration to political affiliation before inviting guests for their annual conference.

She said rather than political affiliation, COWLSO considered what an individual could offer feminism and women development before inviting them to participate in their annual confidence.

Mrs Sanwo-Olu stated this while unveiling personalities that will participate in this year’s conference.

She said Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and his Oyo state counterpart, Seyi Makinde are expected to grace the 23rd National Women Conference in Lagos

The Lagos First Lady said Senator Oluremi Tinubu would be the Mother of the Day and Special Guest of Honour in the national conference being organised by COWLSO.

According to her, this year’s conference would feature over 5,000 women, stressing that the annual programme has earned a remarkable reputation and assumed the status of a purpose-driven international conference through which women are galvanized and inspired to make a difference.

She said this year’s edition of the National Women’s Conference is tailored towards assisting women to be more productive and positively influence the society.

The theme for the year’s conference is “Unleash Your Potential” and it would be a combination of both virtual and physical participation.

The governor’s wife pointed out that a team of seasoned facilitators and panelists would extensively discuss germane topics affecting women such as Health, Agriculture and Food Security, Education, Empowerment, Cyber Security, Harnessing the power of digital technology, family and lifestyle.
