The Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) has elected Ugochukwu Azubuko as its new President/Chairman of Council.

The new President, who is the 10th President of the Institute, was sworn in at the Investiture Ceremony which held recently in Lagos, alongside the Institute’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the induction ceremony of over 250 persons.

In his keynote address during the ceremonies, the outgoing President, Dr Festus Oshoba, congratulated the new President and urged the governing council, management, staff and members of the institute to accord the new President their full support and cooperation throughout his tenure.

Similarly, Dr. Oshoba congratulated all the new members, while noting that the rigorous processes leading to the qualification and admission of persons into the professional membership of the Institute were to ensure that those that join its membership are people of exemplary conduct, requisite skills, wealth of experience and high societal values to contribute to the national economy.

The new President, Ugochukwu Azubuko, in his acceptance speech, expressed deep appreciation to the Governing Council and members of the Institute for the privilege of serving as the 10th President and Chairman of the Council of CIA.

He, among other things, pledged to work tirelessly to promote the vision and mission of the Institute; the interest of members, and the Administration profession for the general good of the nation.
