The ceremony came two weeks after Davido confirmed his marriage to Chioma.

Two days before the event, the 30 BG boss posted their pre-wedding photos, setting the tone for one of the most anticipated events in the nation’s entertainment circle, tagged #Chivido2024.

The photos ignited social media, with fans, celebrities, traditional leaders, and politicians congratulating the couple.

Davido’s grand wedding was a gathering of dignitaries from various walks of life.

The celebration featured a rain of dollars, an exquisite food menu, and an assortment of luxurious champagnes and wines.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was spotted at the ceremony, adorned in his signature white regalia and beaded crown. Other notable attendees included former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, his Ogun State counterpart, Dapo Abiodun, Senator Daisy Danjuma of Edo South, Seyi Tinubu.

Celebrities such as Olamide, Iyabo Ojo, Patoranking and singer Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, graced the occasion with TV host Ebuka Uchendu serving as the compere.

A leading automobile company, GAC Motors, also gifted the award-winning artiste and his new bride with a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle.

Chioma and Davido’s relationship has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with both love and challenges. Their friendship blossomed years ago before they officially became a couple in 2018.

Over the years, they faced public scrutiny, cheating allegations, and breakup rumours. However, they persevered, welcoming a son, Ifeanyi, in 2019, but tragically losing him to a home accident in 2022.

Thankfully, in 2023, they were blessed with a set of twins.

Through it all, their love remained strong. They had a legal marriage in 2023, and this traditional ceremony marks a grand celebration of their commitment to each other.

While the festivities in Nigeria have been concluded, the couple’s journey continues. Davido confirmed that a white wedding is still planned, but it will be held outside Nigeria, in the United States.

Fans and well-wishers eagerly await the next chapter in Davido and Chioma’s love story.
